چکیده
Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection is one of the leading causes mortality and morbidity in developing countries drug resistance remains a challenge. Drug hastened by point mutations bacilli genome their frequencies vary geographically hence need to understand regional specific patterns for early detection mutant strains. In this cross sectional study, Sputum samples from pulmonary clinical suspects were collected detect that confers Isoniazid rifampicin anti-anti drugs. Detection was done using GenoType MTBDRplus. Out sample 256 Tuberculosis suspected cases, 145 confirmed out which 32 (22%) new (TB) cases 113(78%) retreatment. The total isoniazid 9(6.2%), 2(6.3%) 7(6.3%) retreatment cases. Multi Resistance (MDR) 2(1.8%) all Rifampicin 7(4.8%), 1 (3.1%) case 6(5.3%) MDR among Resistance(RR) 28.6%. Low resilient strains had changes katG gene resulting nucleotide change A G C C. Four resistant isolates showed at rpoB with T single isolate displayed mutation G. Same different patients same facility might be an indication local transmission greater variability observed HIV positive are possibilities acquired during treatment courses repeated administration anti-TB

Tuberculosis remains a major public health problem in both developing and developed countries. Drug-resistant tuberculosis is an increasing health problem and serious challenge to tuberculosis (TB) control programs. Information about the susceptibility pattern of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates against anti-tuberculosis drugs is an important aspect to TB control. The objectives of the s...
متن کاملIsoniazid MIC and KatG Gene Mutations among Mycobacterium tuberculosis Isolates in Northwest of Iran
Objective(s) Isoniazid (INH) is one of the main first line drugs used in treatment of tuberculosis and development of resistance against this compound can result in serious problems in treatment procedures. Resistance to INH is mediated mainly by mutation in KatG gene that is coded for the catalase enzyme. The proportional method for detection of INH-resistance is time consuming due to the slo...
متن کاملEvaluation of Gene Mutations Involved in Drug Resistance in Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Strains Derived from Tuberculosis Patients in Mazandaran, Iran, 2013
Drug resistance (especially multiple drug resistance) in Mycobacterium tuberculosis makes global concerns in treatment and control of tuberculosis. Rapid diagnosis of drug resistant strains of the bacteria has vital importance in the prognosis of the disease. The aim of this study was to identify the mutations responsible for drug resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains derived from pa...
متن کاملResistance to rifampicin and isoniazid in strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Drug susceptibility studies on strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolated from widely different populations of patients and tested by two different techniques indicated that all 55 strains resistant to rifampicin were also resistant to isoniazid, while many strains resistant to isoniazid were found to be susceptible to rifampicin. This observation, which has as yet unknown laboratory and cl...
